About the Market

Established in May 2008, the monthly Humber Bridge Farmers Market is held on the first Sunday of every month (except January) at the bridge viewing area in Hessle, from 9am to 1pm.

The market is the largest event of its kind in the region, with over 5,000 visitors each month. Visitors can expect over 100 stalls selling a selection of the best seasonal, regional produce, in addition to a dedicated section for arts and crafts.

Neil Marshall, Head of Resources at the Humber Bridge, says:

Visitors love coming along to the farmers market to sample some of the fresh, local produce. And with so many stalls selling such a variety of goods, many are stocking up on the latest seasonal fruit and vegetables at the farmers market.

The market offers a huge selection of locally produced food and drink, along with stalls selling a wide variety of crafts including woollen items, handmade soaps, candles and bags.

The Humber Bridge Farmers Market, which holds accreditation from the National Farmers Retail & Markets Association (FARMA), is held on the first Sunday of every month, from 9am to 1pm, and ample free parking is available on site.
